I love living at The Reserve at Saluki Pointe! The gated community allows me to feel safe at all times of the night. All of the resident activities including grocery bingo, instagram giveaways & breakfast on the go are all added bonuses! The Reserves is a great community and I highly recommend it to anyone!!
My experience here at the Reserves has been very good. But there is one thing that needs to be addressed. The stairways need to be cleaned. It was disgusting when I moved in and still are disgusting.
Nice, clean and quiet! Second year living here and I am still pleased with my apartment and the community. I love that my building is always clean.
It's great! I have had nothing but great experiences at the reserve including all the awesome features and amenities you get when you live here.
The amenities (such as the gym, theater, and pool) are great and its really nice to have a personal bathroom, however, I cant get over how loud my neighbors are. You never know who will be in your building, if you're unfortunate like me you may end up with people who live above you and are constantly running and stomping above your head or next to people who play music so loud you feel the walls vibrate. Additionally, you may be on the same floor with people who constantly smoke weed and leave your building smelling foul. There are definitely some positives to this community but there are some cons as well.
Nice quality apartments but management could do much better when conducting work with residents. Maintenance is very responsive to all problems
Awesome amenities and friendly staff! Love that I have my own bathroom. Plus, maintenance is always timely in getting the job done! Having a fitness center and swimming pool on property is pretty sweet too.
I enjoy living here. I like the space offered in the apartment. The gym, pool, and clubhouse are all bonuses. It is usually quiet and the staff and maintenance personnel are all helpful if there is ever a problem.
Amenities are wonderful, maintenance staff is reliable and fast, furnishing of apartments is the highlight of the complex, great location, quiet area. Downfall is the lack of follow through on events. Monthly events are posted but usually only about 20% of events are actually completed
It was great, i had a lot of fun doing activities and i got some good neighbors around me.
The place is good and clean and you guys are one of the friendliest staff that I’ve met, def gon tell ppl bout this place.
Love it at the reserve! The starbucks bar is the best when you're studying in the computer lounge. It is really nice to have access to free printing!
Big fan of The Reserve at Saluki Pointe. Knowledgeable office staff who care, great wifi connection, clean units. Swell people Swell times!!
I absolutely love living here. Great staff, great amenities, great maintenance. The only thing is the couch and loveseat is terribly uncomfortable. I love living here
Overall this a nice place to live for the price. There are a few areas that could be improved such as repairs to the clubhouse such as the gym equipment and Starbucks machine.
The maintenance crew this year has to be one of the best perks of the community. They are professional and respectful when entering our residence as well as providing the best upkeep the property has seen in a few years. Huge shout out to them. Thanks guys! The amenities in the clubhouse however have seen better days, the gym is in need of updating, tanning has been the same for the past 6 years, and coffee machine gets shut off at night which is a bummer. And printer is maybe only functional 75% of the time.
I love living at the Reserves! The staff goes above and beyond for the residents to make sure their needs are met for a safe and caring environment! Along with maintenance they take care of the apartments monthly and respond to orders daily!
Living here is great. Nice area and love the amenities for the price. They have small events around holidays and treat you right during finals week l.
I love living at the reserves! The apartments are very nice and the amenities are great! They are always trying to make sure we have a great living experience!
I've live here for over a year now and in the past I've had a good response when I put in a maintenance request. But this year there seems to be a lack of response, it will take weeks for the maintenance guys to come by the apartment and fix something.
Facility is somewhat kept up with and maintained. The shower heads they put on are the absolute worst and make it seem you have little to no water pressure. The printer only works during the winter and fall. The bathrooms for the outdoor facility are horrendous. And only a handful of computers work correctly in the study area. The outdoor grill doesn't look like its ever been scrapped and the "binge worthy theater", doesn't even connect to my computer after hooking up both HDMI cords.
The reserves is a great place to live, and I’m enjoying it a lot better then my previous place of residence. The staff is very friendly and helpful, also the maintenance staff does great work and is very respectful when doing their work.
Amazing service and maintenance. I have never lived in a better apartment complex where they carry so much about your comfort . I would recommend the reserve at saluki pointe to everyone.
The reserves has great amenities with amazing perks! The apartments are very spacious with nice furniture and there’s plenty to do with all the activities they set up.
The staff is great here with answering any question I may have! It is also a very safe community. I’ve made great friends while living here as well.
I like cake it tastes so good put it right there my man I like you very much why dont you comeon over and we can chat for a little while dear buddy. Hows the weather down there? is it still cold or is
The reserves is a amazing place to live. I would recommend it to all of my friends. I really love the spacious apartments and rooms . I love it.
Almost 3 years in the reserve and I’m still comfortable living here the facility staff are really friendly and helpful as well the maintenance guys!
I enjoy staying at the reserve! It’s close to school and everyone is friendly at the office. I enjoy the free printing and gym we have access too!
I like living at the reserve because of the amenities that are included. I especially love being outside and going to the pool during the summer months!
Love my experience living here at the Reserve. It is so quiet and laid back here. Everyone that works here is so friendly and always greets me with a smile anytime I walk in to get coffee!
Everything is good im not one to complain about anything of this life because I am thankful to god for everything I have. My family is good then i am good
Everything is really good, besides the fact that the stairwells are nasty. The coffee machine works most of the time, but could be working more consistently.
My experience at The Reserve was hassle free. The process was simple and the staff was helpful. The complex is perfect and I am excited about moving in the fall.
get a couple of roommates and its definitely the place to go. The apartments, and the office are super nice, the location isn't too bad. Walking to campus definitely isn't the best but there is a bus.
Very well kept complex, great and attentive staff, great amenities, and maintenance is very quick and thorough. The staff plans great events every month.
The Reserve is a great place to live. Nice gym, good wifi, and private baths in every room. I apartment shopped in Carbondale but found nothing near the caliber of the Reserve. I'd recommend it to anyone.
The apartments are really nice, but its expensive and if you have a slight issue they are bad about helping when you have an issue with appliances
The Reserves is a very nice place to live with many commodities. It is a very clean and quiet apartment complex that has been enjoyable to live in.
Safe place to live!! Nice and clean, close to college, gated Community, good reward program offers, close parking to apartment, clean and always parking open space thanks to management team 👍
Besides maintenance issues, I have enjoyed staying here. It feels like a very cozy and safe place to live, and I have decided to renew my lease for that reason and many more.
The Reserves is the place to be! I like how the maintenance team responds almost immediately to your needs. I have had an awesome experience living here as the amount services and activities they provide made me feel at home.
very clean and nice. staff is friendly and apartment is well kept. wish security was better. there where people racing in the parking lot the other day and lots of people litter here.
Good place to live very clean and well kept and friendly staff. Would recommend the place to any one that is looking for a nice place to live
Friendly staff, they offer great monthly events for residents, affordable rent for area, pool, full gym, tanning, clean club house, pet friendly, basketball court
Overall I enjoy living here because I like the idea of living in a complex, but for the first couple of months there were a lot of trouble with the different amenities that are offered so it was frustrating at that time.
Not too bad, not great. Noise level could be better. Maintenance could be better. Do a better job with roommate selection. My roommate is crazy and awful.
Very clean, well maintained place. No problems with the building or rooms. Helpful staff anytime needed. Couldn’t ask for a better first experience with them.
Love it here at the reserves, been here a whole year and plan to stay till I graduate! Everything furniture is all supplied and it's reasonably close to campus! I couldn't ask for a better living experience
Great complex ! Maintain everything is very dependable and staff always manages to help me. Nice reward offers and each holiday always seems like I’m home(:
I feel my apartment is okay but the amount of bugs that come in the building is annoying because we live by the woods. So if your not into bugs try to request a building not as close to the woods.
I like the reserve and everything it has to offer. I like the free printing, the gym, and the apartments themselves. However, the equipment at the gym is never working right. Every time I go there to use the treadmill only one or two machines are working. The printer stops working at times which is frustrating when I need to print things for school. I also have been wanting to reserve the move theater but the projector has been broken for the longest time. Also, when we moved into our apartment, there were several things that weren’t cleaned very well that we didn’t notice until later. The oven, microwave, and dishwasher in particular still had residue and other debris in them. Overall, I like the complex itself but it is extremely frustrating that maintenance of certain equipment is not being kept up.
Not a bad place to live. Could be better with maintenance and the noise level isn’t terrible but could be better. The people at the office are very helpful.
This is a very nice apartment and community. But there are a few things I would like to have here. Maybe another dumpster loser to building 10 and 11 it’s a little inconvenient to take out trash and recycling but besides that love living here.
It is not a completely amazing experience. However I am still satisfied with my living space. Room for improvement just wish our opinions were actually taken into consideration
Pretty good I love the atmosphere here in the reserve all students and they are quite too not noisy at all. The gym is good and worth to go .
Love living here. This is my 2nd year. I stayed in dorms first year and have moved in for the remainder of my time at SIU. Easy check in and out.
Fantastic neighborhood with lots to offer, and the units are very spacious. I love that I have my own bathroom and bedroom, and the common areas are a great place to spend time with apartment-mates!
The Reserve at Saluki Point is a great place to live; however, the maintenance is not the best. I have been after them to replace the stair light in my building ever since I moved in, and it is still burnt out 3 months later.
saluki reserves are laid back yet of good quality, would very much recommend; one of the nicer apartments for college students that isn’t terribly priced
Living at The Reserves has been a great time. I love having my own bathroom and having the washer and dryer in my apartment. I love that everything is fully furnished. Anytime I have had an issue, it has been fixed in a timely manner.
The apartment itself is pretty convenient. I love having my own bathroom. We’ve had some problems with the stove and a view other things, but for the most part they’re fixed right away!
I feel satisfied and very very comfortable. Also, I don’t have to pay for many bills like I used to, so it’s very enjoyable to be a resident at Reserve, and I’d love to renew the lease for one more year.
Love how fast things can be fixed. Pool and common area are great. Computer lab needs some work but overall good as well. Overall enjoyed living here
Very good experience, have everything I could ever need here; kitchen, washer and dryer, printing lab, pool, and gym! Only complaint would be is there seems to be a lot of problems with the treadmills breaking down. Love that the place is pet friendly as well!!
Prompt maintenance, clean facility, very friendly staff, the ability to take up more than one parking spot is awesome as I have jetskis, on site Starbucks is pretty cool too
The apartments are beautiful! And the staff is friendly! The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and comfortable. The complex is very well groomed and the pool is very nice as well!
I enjoy living here but the Internet and cable could be better. Internet cuts out a lot around exam time when everyone is on it and with the cable you lose channels sometimes.
The reserve is a perfect place to live in. Moreover, the have a good administration that help to match with good roommates. In addition, the rent is valuable
It is great. The location is nice the services are nice as well. However I moved in and i found many problems that were not fixed before I moved in some in the living room, kitchen, and bedroom.
Great apartment complex and amenities. The friendly office staff are always looking to help and I always enjoy coming to the community events!
The apartment is nice, but the amenities do not always work. The WiFi goes out constantly and the computers in the computer lab do not all work. The printer also rarely works and is either out of order, or is out of paper. The maintenance crew is always nice and helpful though.
Decent apartments, no major complaints. I feel safe here and maintenance is very helpful. Like that I can park for free and enjoy the gym. Wish buildings were cleaner, and had some updates such as clean carpet, appliances that don’t leak, and no mold. Wish the prices were lower because this apartment complex isn’t super new. Overall happy with living here but would probably move elsewhere if I were in Carbondale for another year.
It’s been very smooth, relaxing, and loaded with amenities. I have my own privacy and my own bathroom. Living room is spacious as well as kitchen and dining area.
It is always a good time at the Reserve! The pool is always open and the free printing is a wonderful added bonus. It is a great place for friends to spend time together!
Great place to live! Great staff that are very helpful! They have helped me get out of very many situations! It feels like a very safe place.
Overall really good! The maintenance is really fast about responding to work orders and the office staff is always friendly and can answer any questions I have!
So far this experience has been pretty good, from the day I moved in, til now. The staff seem very knowledgeable of the location and any aspects that are important for people moving in.
The maintenance staff I know work their hardest and do their best to make sure the amenities are up to date and functional, a bit slow on the maintenance requests but it was taken care of soon after
Overall the apartments are fine w me and the cost is manageable.
Wonderful amenities, plenty of parking, excellent furniture included, perfect location, close to school but far enough away from downtown so it is quiet.
I do wish that I could turn the light in my bathroom on without the fan kicking on. If they had different switches, that would be great. I know that would mean redesigning ALL of the rooms, so that's just a nitpick. Also, the stairwells need cleaning badly and the keyed locks on our doors are a bit testy. One of my roommates can't even lock his anymore. Other than those things though, it's great.
I think living at the Reserve at Saluki Pointe was a great decision. I love having my own room and bathroom that has a lot of space. I think the maintenance could do a better job but the office managers are super sweet and always trying to help you out!
I have loved being a resident at the Reserve. The pool is always kept clean and is a great place to relax. I would have to say that my favorite part is the gym because I can go to work out whenever I want and have time and it's so convenient. I also enjoy all the space that I have in my apartment and feel right at home.
It great here wonderful staff. Wonder thing. Just great. The only problem would be some of the neighbors a buttholes. But that's not the reserve fault
I love it here! The facilities offered are absaluki wonderful, the size of the rooms are amazing, and I love having my own bathroom! I would love to stay here forever if I could!!!
Very nice and clean facility with great amenities. Some minor issues here and there but things get resolved quickly. Overall I am happy with The Reserves
Not a bad place to live but a little expensive. There are many amedities that I don't use including the pool. Free printing is fine as long as the printer keeps working.
Had a small issue when we were supposed to get our carpet redone and it never happened but everything else has been really great. 10/10 would recommend
The apartment is very well done, and the staff is always helpful. One thing I wish is that rent would go through quicker, but I get that's a banking issue. My only complaint is that maintenance isn't consistent, we were told our carpet would be replaced and it never was. Other than that, it's great!
Decent apartment with a decent price good for what I need it to do. Staff is friendly and helps if I need anything. Only complaint is that there are bugs outside but it’s the the apartments fault
Overall, the experience isn't too bad. There are some things here and there but that is to be expected with such a large community. Thank you for your hard work.
I really enjoy living here, there are so many amenities available for a great price. The office staff works hard to ensure resident happiness, and I am always pleased at the cleanliness of the grounds.
Overall, the Reserves has been a pretty good experience! The apartments themselves and the maintenance are great! The management, not so much! We have a very noisy neighbor and they refuse to take care of it, and tried to charge us for a dog we don’t even have last year.
I love the amenities that are included with the lease. The apartments themself are nice but the couches are very uncomfortable. Also, the spiders are ridiculous. They are everywhere. All in all I love living at the Reserve.
I absolutely love it here at The Reserve at Saluki Pointe. The staff is incredibly friendly and the apartments are incredibly nice for the value. Plus, the great amenities just add onto the experience!
The reserves is a great place to live. There are great amenities such as the pool, gym, and movie theatre. Everyone in the office is very helpful and maintenance responds quickly.
Love all the amenities it has to offer and the 24 hour access to the club house. Love that maintenance responds quickly. Not happy when the wifi goes down and I have homework.
I love the complex, everything about it is welcoming and in great condition. All the amenities are super nice as well. Overall I’ve had a great experience living here and have encountered no problems!
The apartment complex is an inviting community that makes you feel at home. The staff is always helpful with any problems, and maintenance comes to check on anything in a timely manor.
Its probably the nicest apartment complex you'll find in carbondale. Unfortunately, management or specifically a single manager, will treat you in a demeaning and condescending manner.
So far, my experience at the reserves has been okay. I would like the facilities around the living quarters to be cleaner and nicer other than that, my experience has been okay.
So far I am really enjoying living at the Reserve at Saluki Pointe. It’s a very nice and kind community, and I really enjoy living here a lot
It's nice to live here, but before you sign ask them to change you're carpet. The maintenance crew are friendly and also the manager keep asking about residents and how they doing, the office crew are the best.
It’s a great experience I love the atmosphere and the clubhouse employees. The place is great and the services are done as soon as possible and the residents are nice
It would be better if maintenance would clean out the bugs in the hallway corners and off of the doors to the buildings every once in awhile. It's kind of disgusting, and I feel gross just walking through the doors. The amenities are nice when the printer is working.
Friendly staff, and a clean place to live in.
I like the balcony on each building it gives some nice view. Great place at a low price, with too many advantages and resources to help students throw out their studies
The grounds are maintained in good order and the units are taken care of. The team of associates in the main office also host small events every now and then to get people involved.
I’m so happy I chose to live at the reserves. My apartment is in the best condition possible and I love the space I have to live. I love spending time at the pool and I couldn’t be more comfortable in my living space
I have lived here for 3 years. Haven't really had too many issues. Staff is friendly and maintenance is quick about fixing things. Rooms are spacious and best part is not having to share a bathroom. The location is great and not too far away from campus!
Everyone is very welcoming and nice. Maintenance is quick when needing something done. The club house and pool is a great area to meet new friends and hangout. Free printing and having the computer lab is great for working on projects as well.
It is too nice, but I don’t have time to type now so what I’m going to do is type random numbers! Ops I tried to spam numbers but you knew it! Nice nice and thanks
My experience living here has been pretty good so far! One thing I didn’t like was s that our water heater was broken for like 4 days but i believe it’s working now! Other than that everything has been perfect!
Really nice location less than a 5 minute drive to campus. Staff are friendly and easy to get in contact with. Facilities could use a little update, but overall a great place to live for the price
This is s great apartment area to live in! It’s quieter than others and close distance to the SIU campus. I enjoy the clubhouse and the free printing.
Cozy housing with generous amount of room for the price. A gym thats on the small side and a basketball court with only 1 light for shooting in the dark. However this is made up for by the help and service the workers here provide. Great job
The most important thing for me was the safety of living in an apartment with people I do not know. But so far living at the reserves gives me the safety of living at home. Thanks for the great experience!
I love the reserves. It is very friendly and has a lot of good features like having your own bathroom and room. The pool and computer lab are great things to have.
The reserve is great! The staff are nice and the amenities are always clean. You can finally print from all the computers in the clubhouse!!
There are many facilities and they are great for the most part. One thing that dampens the living experience is inconsiderate neighbors who are loud at all times.
I enjoy living at The Reserve at Saluki Pointe because it is conveniently located close to campus and the cost is competitive with the market!
So far my experience at the Reserves has been wonderful. Had a few issues with the internet at first, but we sorted it all out. The only downfall with the community is the cable service quality. Other than that, it’s great!
The Reserves have friendly staff in the office, and this facility has so much to offer its residents, such as a gym, the pool, the computer lab. It's an environment where success can be nurtured.
I moved to Carbondale in summer 2k17 since that time I lived in the Reserve in two different buildings. Full of life and the staff are so friendly specially the maintenance guys.
It’s a very cool community and the staff are friendly and nice too. Just one thing about the apartment i live in is the door of my room is cracked and the window has no string on it. Apt 832 C
Super nice staff and nice area! Made moving in really easy and took care of any problems right away. Building is quiet and neighbors are nice
Been ok so far. I just got here barely a month ago. So just watching and hope to have an amazing stay here. Not experienced anything bad so far
The employees at the reserve are super helpful, you do need to stay on top of them if you want things done in a timely manner. Maintenance is very friendly and on top of everything once there is a work order in place
The facilities are really nice. Computer lab with free printing is definitely a deal maker when it came to signing a lease here. I would refer this place to anybody looking.
I love this place. It has a lot of bugs here but that doesn't bother me at all! The bedrooms are amazing and the living area is spectacular. The kitchen is great and I just really enjoy living here.
The staff is very friendly here and maintenance has been pretty fast and helpful. There are many things to do such as swim at the pool, study in the quiet rooms, or even watch a movie in the theatre.
The cleaning crew did a really thorough jib when they came in and cleaned my apartment. All the staff do everything they can to insure that my stay here is the best!
I’ve had a really nice time at my apartment. Everyone who works there is super nice and try to get to your problems right away. Overall I’ve had a really good experience.
The reserve provides a welcoming and safe environment that facilitates growth. The management is very helpful. 24 HRS gym access is amazing.
Great and friendly environment! The are Always accommodating for their residents and making sure they get the help they need with quick responses.
Overall, I have really enjoyed living at the Reserve! Great friendly staff always make sure you're taken care of. The amenities are everything you need and it's the perfect distance away from the university.
Lovely staff and great apartments. You get your own bathroom! What could be bad!? Plus, they come fully furnished so it makes for an easy move if you're coming long or short distance.
Staff has been super friendly. Apartment had a little damage that we noted and was never fixed. Plenty of parking. Amazing internet. Elauwit (now boingo) has been a huge pain for me with very bad customer service on occasions.
The lease process has been very easy! I am excited to get to move in soon and begin meeting so many new people! I am excited to get involved in the community
Great community to live in! The apartments are very nice and well kept. There are many things to do in the complex as well! There are always free events to go to.
Love this place. Need to clean buildings more. Their is always dirt and filth in the hallways and stairwells. Also the gate isn’t annoying because it is closed randomly
Been pretty cool so far. Nice facilities. The only bad thing is that at night the outside doors are completely covered in spiders and worms. I would like for that to be cleaned
I don't think that I have been here long enough to give an accurate review of the place. I would say that the apartment itself is really cozy and homey for such a low price and the common areas are nice! However, the hallways and actual apartment buildings are kinda gross and run down.
Front desk staff is pretty friendly!
Overall my experience was pretty great. I didn’t have any problems or complaints and if I needed something fixed maintenance would get it fixed as soon as they could. Highly recommend living here.
Since i came here from Miami Fl . The Reserves have showed me nothing but love and respect. The staff, RA’s etc even the maintenance staff has shown me that they care about each and everyone
It's been good so far, besides the not very good customer service. I would suggest they let you take the Visa gift card and put it in your bank account to save, since we're all broke college students. I think its dumb that we're forced to spend that online.
A pretty decent price for all the accommodations (own bathroom, pool, workout center, tanning). I like the the extra closet each room gets. I’m not a big fan of the electronic key card to get in, I always have to fish it out of my bag or purse instead of using keys like most places (as I already have my car keys in my hand).
The staff is great, every time I call about a question or concern I have they awnser politely and get me my awnser immediately without me waiting on the phone forever.
The place looks good. I’ve also heard that it’s not pretty nice community. I actually cannot wait to be in my apartment and enjoy every possible thing I can do there.
It has been a great time and I appreciate the helpfulness of the staff there. They have been very punctual in responding to any issues at all.
So far my experience with touring the residence and setting up my lease for the coming year has been wonderfully easy! The staff at the Reserve have been very helpful and easy to work with, and have done a great job answering all my questions!
I absolutely love living here since it feels like home! Everyone is so welcoming and there are many great amenities in order to get you involved and to enjoy your stay!
Living at the reserves for the past 3 years has been an amazing experience. The noise level in building one was always appropriate and my neighbors were nice. The outside facilities were clean and the amenities are great. Totally worth living here.
The reserves is one of the best places to live in the city of carbondale. It’s a very quiet place and I love of the amenities. I would recommend this complex to everyone.
The community is great the workers here are very helpful and will answer any questions that you need help with the apartments are great with everything being included
Everything is great, the staff are awesome. I like the gym so much. I wish there was a jacuzzi. I like the pool a lot however I wish it was bigger.
I am going to love living here but I haven't actually moved in yet but I am so exited. Fully furnished apartment, a movie theatre, gym, dog park, and much more to look forward to. You guys made everything easy and I am so happy that I am moving into the Reserve
It has been a very easy transition from home to living on my own thanks to The Reserve. They have been very helpful, attentive, and genuinely care about our safety, happiness, and wellness.
It’s a great community in and out of my apartment, I love living here. The reserve is a great place to live, they treat all the residents good .
The apartment was dirty when I moved in and management was rude when I complained. Maintenance was always great. I ended up with roommates in the exact programs that I was told I would not be. The internet went out in my building for over 2 weeks during finals. Undergraduates were also moved into my building despite my being told that buildings were separate based on students being undergraduates or graduates.
It has been a very easy move and cool experience. Everyone that works here is very friendly. The reserves have a pool, gaming area with a pool table and more, movie theater, and gym.
The experience at the reserve has been great for the most part. Wait time on maintenance can be a bit long some times which is frustrating when the air conditioning is out. But otherwise its a good apartment complex
The apartment is nice enough but the staff is horrible. I hate even walking into the from office. They are incredibly rude and lazy. I wish I had never signed a lease here.
I love everything about The Reserves. The rooms are very spacious and you get your own bathroom. Everything is conveniently furnished for you not to mention you get a full sized bed.
The staff is kind and helpful and the community is super welcoming. Maintenance responds fairly quickly, the space is open and inviting, absolutely love it!
The maintenance of the facility could do with some serious improvement in terms of following up and communication. A resident shouldn’t have to keep making calls to find out about the status of a major issue like a faulty air con.
Great place to leave. Awesome staff. Only problem would be getting stuck next to petty and unreasonable neighbors. Not the apartment fault but it's really annoying
Nice apartments, cable and WiFi go out sometimes, other miscellaneous problems with computer lab printer etcetera. I wish the rent was a little cheaper, but otherwise it’s good.
Lived in a 4 bedroom this year, much bigger than other 4 bedrooms I’ve visited. The gym is nice, and management is always easy to get along with.
I loved the reserves. The staff is excellent and they are always willing to help no matter the situation. I’ve recommended the reserves to all of my friends
I like that the location is near to the school so its not that far of a drive. I like how you are a able to pick your own roommate in a sense that way you feel more comfortable moving in.
This is a lovely and friendly community. The community staffs are very helpful and you can always find surprise when you meet them. Awesome service!
Wonderful experience would definitely stay again if i wasn't graduating :/ Love all the people, my roomies are pretty cool and the location is decent
love the amenities.such as the pool. other then that, the apartment is okay. walls are uncomfortable thin, meaning you can hear everything..
Its a wonderful place to live in with a great variety of amenities. Very close to campus. Their stafd is really friendly and i highly suggest others to stay here.
The community here at The Reserves is amazing! Without the amazing monthly events, I would not have met all of the people I have thus far. The staff is welcoming and helpful, as well.
The cable is fuzzy on most the channels and the internet goes out at the most inopportune time. The gym with 24 hr access is real convenient
I have had a wonderful experience living at The Reserve at Saluki Pointe. Everyone is extremely friendly, maintenance is fast and they have great amenities! Plus the apartments are super nice and I love the fact that the Saluki Express bus takes me to campus every day! My only regret at SIU is not living here for a longer period of time.
The community is great. Everyone I have come in contact with are very nice. If I had any problems with my apartment the CAs have been a great help.
This place wasn’t really the greatest to be completely honest...the only thing I liked was how quiet it was and some of the giveaways. That’s really it
Everyone in the community is very welcoming and friendly. I had an amazing experience. The apartments are beautiful. I cannot wait to move in.
This is a great place to live. The apartments are nice and the amenities are great to have. The fitness center is clean. This apartment complex has a lot to offer
I truly enjoy residing in such a peaceful community. Staff are always nice and take care of any issues that may arise. Amenities are decent.
Complex contains many useful amenities such as a dog park, pool, useful gym, Holds fun community events such as casino night with very good prices.
I really like the apartments and the area. I love that each room has its own bathroom. Also, the free printing, tanning, and gym are a very nice addition.
This is a great community to live in and be a part of! The apartments are very clean and great to live in and the club house has so many perks and free things.
Very much dislike that the gate to this gated community does not always close at the designated time as it is suppose to seeing as that is one of the main reasons that I signed my lease at this complex.
I was so excited about moving to the reserves but I must say that I am pretty disappointed with the customer service from the staff as well as the management. I am disappointed in the fact that it either takes forever for maintenance to come fix things or they are really quick, there is no in between. I am very disappointed that the individuals above me sound like elephants constantly causing my roommates and I to have to put in numerous complaints and yet nothing has been done and we were basically told we were SOL. I pay too much to live here for this kind of service in my opinion.
Close to SIU campus, nice amenities and friendly staff. Building stairs need to be cleaned more and my building door doesn’t close all the way on its own.
Hope you never need maintence done as they take forever and don’t actually fix the item. Have had mold growing in my window and have told multiple maintence workers and managers. Nothing has come of it.
Living at the reserves has been awesome! Fast maintenance service, and good customer service. I also love how convenient it is to pay rent and utilities.
Very good. Nice place, prompt maintenence, lots of perks. Easy access to a gym is convenient. The Manager is nice and helpful. Lots of incentives to win prizes and money.
I had a great time visiting and meeting all the amazing people that live there. They really help convince me in living at the reserve! I can't wait to live there.
Beautiful housing great place to live. I had a great time looking around and the staff was really friendly. Excited to live here and spend the rest of my college life here!
Move in was not the best. Room was not ready for my move in as it had not been inspected or cleaned before my move in. The maintenance does respond fairly quickly to issues. The only reason I signed to renew was the 700 visa card that was offered during my releasing after summer. The internet is pretty good. overall the Reserve at Saluki Pointe has its issues but the amenities are fairly reasonable.
I’m a college student.
Therapeutic rec student that enjoys going leisure time outside. I usually play basketball at the courts every summer.
The club house is really nice with the gym, pool, theatre, pool table, printing, and coffee. It’s njce to be living with friends and being able to have a lot of things to do.
Great place to live! Never had an issue with anything. Maintenance gets fixed in a timely manner, lots of fun things happening each month at the clubhouse!
Decent reception desk was able to answer most of my questions when touring the place. When signing the lease, corporate mess-up and sent a wrong link and that wasn't resolved for a month. Also took 2 months before I got my gift card voucher. Still great staff on-site.
I love living in the reserves ! There is an amazing amount of benefits that you receive while living here and I always feel safe ! I recommend this place to anyone.
The Reserve at Saluki Pointe is a great place to live. The living arrangements are nice, accommodations are nice, but to get maintenance takes a while.
The apartments are an open and friendly community. The pool, volleyball court, basketball court, and dog park are added bonuses that would be hard to find anywhere else. The best place to meet new people!
The sign up process was extremely simple and straightforward and the staff were great help. I cannot wait to move in in the fall at the reserves
Nice facility, staff are very nice and maintenance replies to calls very quickly. They host several events that allows you to meet fellow residents.
It’s been a great experience at the reserves. They provide many activities and events. The private gym has also been a huge added bonus. Kind and courteous staff as well
The Reserve at Saluki Pointe is a great place to live. The apartments are well updated and spacious and the community has great amenities with many activities.
Fairly good the size of the apartments and the rooms are perfect maintenance guys doin there job as required but some notes sometimes there are some mistakes in the account also in building 15 the internet sometimes is down and takes a while
Reserves are doing better. Seems like they’re adding more things to the gym. The gate is not always closed though. Love the monthly resident activities they have.
I have lived here for roughly 6 months and I have honestly had a pretty decent experience so far. Only thing is that maintenance could use some work and definitely communication in the office could improve.
The reserves is very nice! But the WiFi is always out and it’s kind of annoying. Also the printer NEVER works in the computer lab! Nice place but can fix a few things
The staff at the reserve is very friendly and there to help you if needed. The community is very safe and quiet. The apartment has many great amenities.
Very good living experience in the reserve. This is the first choice if you are a student and wanna hang out with your friends and enjoy life .
The internet has been very spotty this semester and when we have ice the parking lots are never salted. But other than that living here is pretty good overall!
Its been a good experience even though its a little expensive, but it is nice having your own batheroom and bedroom. I dont enjoy them charging us anytime a little blind breaks.
The parking lot needs cameras. My motorcycle was struck during the night and there was no proof of who did it. Everything else at the reserves is good tho.
I really love it, it has space, blaconny, nice kitchen... all i like. What i don’t like is that when my neighbors upstairs walk, i hear the noise and they be walking 24/7. Also events should be weekend, I’m most of the time not available when they have things going on.
Love the environment, love the atmosphere, love the experience! The staff takes such good care of residents living there and everyone has done a good job making it feel like home!
Roommates were terrible. But the room and and facilities were amazing and so is the emergency repair people. If I find betterroomates I will continue to stay
I have loved living at The Reserves At Saluki Pointe the past semester. It wa Amy first experience living by myself and they were very helpful and caring. Anytime I have any sort of problem or inconvenience with my apartment they jump to the rescued within no time.
The experience at the Reserve has been great! The amenities in the clubhouse are fun an convenient. The maintenance is slow, but other than that the place is great
I honestly love living at the reserves! The community is nice, safe, quiet, and not too crowded. My only complaints would be a wish they would clean the hallways in our buildings a little more. But, that's a small thing for how many things are great!
Great staff and keep places looking nice. Great place to live especially if going to school at SIU. Close to school and bus comes frequently.
I have had a decent experience so far, the staff have been accommodating. My residence in particular is neat and the rooms are of a reasonable size, with each room having its own bathroom.
The office crew are nice and helpful
The place is qite and its near the SIU
Its their own gym and pool which is a nice things to do it in ur free time
The theatre, gym, and pool tables are pretty nice. The rooms are big and it’s nice that everyone gets their own bathroom in a four person room.
I have been at the Reserves for a month and it is a good experience so far. It’s pretty quite and very spacious bedroom! The living room and kitchen is up to date with great appliances.
Overall really enjoy the apartment and community, my only complaints are that the printer in the computer lab seems to never be working, and occasionally the WiFi will go out for long periods of time.
The maintenance has always been great and getting things done in a really short amount of time. Students who work in the office are really helpful.
It’s been a good experience. The biggest issue I have is when the internet goes out. I like the gym and coffee machine. It’s also convenient to pick up packages from the leasing office.
Very calm environment, maintenance is quick to resolve any issues in the apartment when there are any. The staff is very helpful on move-in day.
Being a resident at the Reserves at Saluki Pointe is overall a good experience with a f you minor problems such as maintenance requests being fixed correctly and noise complaints.
So far it hasn't been so bad. The one thing that bothered me was that last time it snowed nobody cleaned the parking lots or the sidewalk or even the entrance to the building.
the amenities at the Reserve at Saluki Point are absolutely fantastic. A community center filled with plenty of things to do, swim, grill out, play table games, Starbucks bar, free printing, and a movie theater. need I say more
It was good. Customer service helped out a lot! They were quick to respond to an email sent to them, but the hot line was busy so i could not reach anybody there
I like that even though I am sharing an apartment with 2 other people, I still have my own space. My own bathroom and a nice closet. I also like that we are able to have pets at the reserve.
so far I've really enjoyed my stay here at the reserves, it's a clean and beautiful community on the edge of town but very close to the main campus. to head to the Tech for auto students it should take you about 15 minutes to get there. Very happy with my living arrangement and looking forward to re-signing my lease shortly!!
Best place I have lived in Carbondale. Rooms are spacious and clean. I love that I have my own bathroom. This the cleanest and best community I have lived in.
Been a nice place to stay so far. Price is more reasonable than many other apartments in the area. Planning to stay here another year to finish my B.S. Degree.
It a very good place to live. It has many great amenities also, it has a huge dog park which is really worth it. This place is safe since its a gated community.
I love the people in there and that it is pet friendly. I am going to live with 3 other rock climbers and so we all have interests in common, which makes it awesome to build solid friendships out of it.
I’ve had a great time living here so far. Minor problems that were quickly fixed. Noise level is low and people are friendly. It’s gated which is a huge safety plus. Overall a good experience.
I have stayed with a friend that lives here and it is very well kept and it looks professional. Any time she had an issue with her apartment they fixed it quickly and without hesitation. I would recommend this space.
This place is a very nice place to live. The amenities are nice to have and the staff is helpful with any question you may have about the apartment complex.
I really enjoy the reserves. They offer so many good things including tanning and free printing. I was very excited to sign and live here again. My parents also think it is very safe and a great place to live.
Most people throw trash over their balcony so be prepared to constantly see litter and trash everywhere. Maintenance will sometimes fix a problem on the first try but often have to put multiple request in for something to Ben fixed
Close proximity to school, friendly staff, and nicely built apartment buildings. The printer room is only annoying because a lot of the computers don’t work, and half the time the printer isn’t working. Also nobody seems to know how to run the movie room and also the apartment buildings could be cleaned (staircases/hallways) more.
Great service. Great people wonderfull thing and the only bad part is that it need to be updated a tad bit because my tired of having to call maintenance
Very nice complex, all around great place to live. Good work room, nice pool that I am excited to use come spring and summer. Also very ncie memory foam beds.
Living here is a great experience. Very clean and nice and it feels very homey. The office is always readily available to talk and help if you need it and the maintenance people always come when needed.
Living here for 3 years and with only minor complaints, I enjoy this community. Quiet, cute, comfortable and tucked away from the campus. I love being secluded when I want to be home but only a 3 minute drive to campus.
best choice i could have ever made, living not too far from campus. pure joy. i made the decision to live with my cousins amazing, would recommend.
It is a good place to live and a nice area. The clubhouse is a good facility, but all of the amenities don’t always work. Other than that I haven’t had a problem living here.
Not a bad place to live but when I moverd in there were damaged walls and some stuff was durty. Has nice club house but needs to spend money on I'm probably rooms.
The apartments are really nice & the community is even better. I really enjoy the monthly activities they provide because it really brings everyone together.
This is my first year living at the reserves. It's a great and safe apartment complex that I would suggest to anyone looking for a place in Carbondale. It is a good distance from school and away from traffic and noise. I enjoy living here!
The reserves has been a pleasant experience, we have had quite a few issues with appliances but maintenance was quick to resolve them. Other than this everything has gone smoothly
My experience so far at the reserves has been great. The rooms and apartments are nice, the main office is helpful, the activities and resources available make for a great time. I love staying at the reserves and plan on staying next year.
Great complex with all the amenities and helpful staff! Rent is reasonably cheap compared to other resident housing. Simple bills make bill pay easy! Maintenance requests are always filled within a day or two.
Not a bad experience. My only complaint is the speed of resolving repairs. I feel based on the amount of the rent the unit should be in excellent condition.
Very good location and price. Staff is friendly and kind and helpful. Study area is nice and quite and accommodation are wonderful. Nice and decent gym.
Issues with my roommate smoking inside the apartment. Upstairs neighbors are quite loud. Whenever I've sent in a maintenance request it has been addressed the same day.
This place is a very nice place to live. Everyone seems very welcoming! I am glad that decided to live here. When stuff was going on at home and I needed to move out to be with my family, the office was very understanding.
The apartments are spacious and kept up very well. Maintenance is very prompt in addressing any issues we have and are always friendly. The staff are always available and willing to assist their residents!
Living at the reserves has been a very great experience. I feel very safe, with the key cards, gates, etc. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the events are very fun and trendy for college aged students.
Pretty good place to live, can get a little noisy at times and the printer in the computer lab does not always work but overall I have had a good experience
The Reserves have been a great apartment complex to live at! They have a great pool, gym, grill, pool table and a computer lab with free printing!
Living here made me feel like I was still living at home! Having my own private room and bathroom was a big reason why I chose to live the The Reserve. I also enjoy having my puppy with me and many places in Carbondale do not allow pets. I love living here and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!
Great service, great location, wonderfully maintained, well designed, easy to connect with other students at a personal level, great place to find new friends, a wonderful experience overall
When having issues with roommates, the leasing office was very accommodating and quick about helping me get of out of the situation. Valerie in the office is always so friendly and happy to help. I love all the amenities that the complex has to offer as well as all the events they hold for residents.
This community has its great perks and some cons as well. The perks although outweighs the cons. The only think I would say about the cons is that customer service here is quite poor and could use more improvement
I love my apartment. The room and closest is very spacious. I love how we also have a theater that we can reserve when ever we want. Also the work out area is good as well
The closet and room are a good size. Maintenance is always great at fixing things in a timely manner. The only downside is that the printer and computers in the club house are down a lot and the speed bumps are horrible.
For the most part the apartments are really nice. I love how it comes furnished and stuff. Some times it takes a while for maintenance to come, or they come too often and early. Over all its nice
Pretty nice place, the internet is pretty garbage because it randomly goes out it feels once per month. The rent becoming so high is kind of bogus also.
The best community in Carbondale for college students. Staffs here are very friendly and if you have any problems related to apartments, just go to the front office to ask, you will feel at home and get the best community experience in the reserve.
Building one is a very clean and quiet apartment. I love it. And it's close to the clubhouse which is very convenient, especially if you have to catch the shuttle because you can just look out the window to see if its there. My only complaint is about bugs in my room every now and then because im on the first floor and the thin walls (my room is right next to the door/parking lot. I can hear each car blasting their music or every person walking in.
The environment is fun. There is always an activity you can get involved with inside the community. The space is well organized. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with your needs. The area is on a pleasant side of town. It is very enjoyable.
The rooms are spacious and clean. I really enjoy the various community events. I love having my own bathroom. The pool is something I look forward to going to in the fall and spring.
Just wish our apartment was in better condition before we got into it. Like the oven, dishwasher, microwave and the washer and dryer! Other than that no complaints
Its a great place to live and this is my second year staying here and probably i will live next year here as well. will also suggest others to stay here as well
Pool water nasty. Moved into a nasty apartment. Said no dogs roommate has 2 of them. Internet constantly down. At beginning key card would work but it works fine now. 1 roommate refuses to signup for simple bills nothing I can do.
The location is very nice, not too far from campus. It's a relatively quite community. Lots of events for residents to enjoy. Maintenance requests are fulfilled in a timely matter.
Comfortable living, a calm community, and around the clock security making you feel very safe. Management is always ready to help with whatever concern you have.
I have really enjoyed living here, the atmosphere is amazing. I like the 24 hr gym and computer room with free printing! I also love the pool and the tanning beds.
It is a disappointment that the present and the future generations will not be able to
experience the actual world – weather, and nature - before it was contaminated by the burning
fossil fuels, chemical industries, and so on. The increasing rate of pollution in the air is one of
the contributing factors for rise in the rates of cancers such as lung cancer and skin cancer. The
use of fossil fuels is not going to stop since we depend on them, but they can be replaced with
alternative fuels. Some major cities like Delhi has replaced their fuels used for public
transportation with Compressed nature gas (CNG) which is an alternative fuel.
The two focal points of this paper are: how air pollution aids cancer, and how the
oncoming generations are likely to suffer because of our fossil fuel addiction.
I already know that we are running out of fuel, our predictions say we will be done with
our fuel reserves before the next decade ends. With the increasing use of these fuels, the future
conditions of our planet cannot be predicted, and this haunt many of our politicians. I also know
that with this increasing use fossil fuels, the rate of diseases like cancer, asthma, breathing
problems, heart conditions have increased and its only getting worse.
I really like living here. I like that there's so many different things included and that it's a nice, quiet atmosphere. Overall, I think it is a good place to live.
Move in day was a bit of a hassle. It seemed that staff were not knowledgeable about the process nor knew what they were doing. I still do not believe I have access to maintenance requests. However, once the school year began, they have been more than helpful.
Fun, nice apartments, the staffs are very nice and helpful and I feel at home. They try their best to have everything their goes may need, a furnished apartment and easy access to the computer lab.
The reserves are a great place to live because they feel disconnected from the university so when you go home you're away from the stress. Although it's sometimes frustrating because they're so far away.
Incredible college community, perfect for students who are serious about education and those who like to have fun. The noise is never a complaint, people generally keep to themselves but are not rude nor avoid new people.
The price is a very good deal. Apartments are above average. Some equipment such as the printer and coffee machine are down often. Some of what is offered is extra and I do not use it.
Wonderful community that I feel safe in. It’s kept maintained and they care about residents. They work hard to provide events to ensure you become a part of the community every month
The facilities (small swimming pool, gym, computer lab) and other aspects, such as office availability of staff members, is excellent.. If you forget your key-card late at night, there are also RA-like staff called CA's (community assistants) there to help you out.
The only problem I have is with the person living above me. They have a speaker and they play music at random times in the day, sometimes it is after 1 am when I am trying to sleep. Besides that, everything is peachy.
The community within building 14 is, for the most part a pleasant place to live. Overall the reserves is a wonderful apartment complex with many amenities at a great price.
My apartment community is very clean and well kept compared to other apartment complexes that I have been too. I enjoy staying here and will continue to stay here until I graduate.
There is so much trash everywhere. The front office staff does not understand what is going on for the most part. Try to talk to a manger if you need anything.
Very nice staff and lots of nice aminities like workout room, printing room, pool area, and movie room! I love how close to campus it is, too.
It’s honestly been great! Our upstairs neighbors are loud, but everything else is amazing! The parking, printing, pool, grill are great to have. I wish the Starbucks machine actually worked for more than hot water though!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick to respond to maintenance issues and any other general issues that pop up. The dog park is a nice thing to have too.
Its great actually! Loved the place, people are soo nice too. Feels like home to me.
4/5 because of the speed bumps. I know that they are important & I believe that too but still they are like a mount averest big
I love living at the reserves. Fast service, easy communication, nice apartment sizes, and dog friendly! I pay a good price for our 4x4. My only complaints are that my light switch in the bathroom also turns the fan on and that the club house does not serve popcorn or hot chocolate anymore.
It is a beautiful place to live. From the gated in cummunity and the privacy, to the beautiful apartments. Fully furnished and everything is great. The movie theater is awesome as well as the pool etc.
Love living here, the only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is that mairntence is slow sometimes. We’ve put in 3 work orders for a problem still not fixed.
Apartment is good and everything works well. The staff is much better this year than last year and the maintanance team is great. All around a good place to live.
It has been a pretty good expierience for the most part. I feel as if access to the pool has become very restricted. I also never ecieved any of the move in gifts when I moved in here 2 years ago.
Rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the bathroom was neat upon arrival. No signs of excessive usage. However regulating the AC for only one room is impossible.
Pretty decent place to live can’t complain. Some things can be improved such as the bugs in the hallways, receiving packages and so forth but good otherwise
It is a very friendly environment around here with a lot of active energy. All around it’s a great place to live except for the excessive bugs and spiders.
Everyone here is pretty chill. Staff is always there when needed. Apartments are modern and come with clean carpet and appliances. Definitely would recommend.
The Reserves are a very nice place to leave. It is very clean and has good utilities. That is one of the main reasons I decided to leave here.
I have lived here for over a year now and I enjoy staying at the Reserve as a student. Most of management is very helpful and maintenance requests have been timely. Amenities are nice as well. Only real negative I can identify is my rent increased this year and so far have not seen any significant changes to warrant this increase.
Friendly community with wide range of demographics: young professionals, families, students. The management and staff continuously strive to meet or exceed expectations. Grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Lots of open green space and sidewalks."
So far the resident experience has been good. In the beginning we had issues with maintenance and the apt not being clean before we moved in. But that was fixed in a timely manner.
Living here is really great, super high quality of living & awesome amenities. However, some of the staff is not very helpful which can cause confusion. Overall, great resident experience.
While living here may have seemed like a luxury things were not as good as they seemed. Things keep constantly breaking down in the apartment and maintenance takes their time fixing them. Only con.
Very nice and spacious apartment, the community has a lot of perks! like the pool, volleyball court and free parking, the staff is always nice!
We had a lot of issues (maintenance wise) when we moved in and were told a lot of wrong information but now everything is pretty nice and smooth.
My bathroom should have been repaired before I got here. Your staff should make sure everything is up to code before they move new people in. My ceiling fan seems like it’s gonna propel right out of the ceiling if I have it on anything high than low.
The reserves is a great place to live. The apartments are a good size and very clean. The amenities are very nice and one of the reasons I signed a lease here.
really great love the area carbondale is wonderful can't wait to tell more people about friends make the best neighbors i love them all especially Katie Czyzewski :)
Awesome and kind staff great rooms I have never had a super bad experience here. A lot of people to meet and talk to. Everyone is super nice
Great price for what you get. Love that most amenities are included. The fitness center is up to date and allows me to get in a workout that suits me. The pool is a fun, social place to be. Great location as well being close to SIU and other things to do nearby.
porch not cleaned at all, closets in kitchen and bedroom had dead bugs and debris, food wrappers and napkins left under mattress, couch hadn’t been replaced. Check in people were very nice. Dog park nice. Pool area nice
The staff at The Reserve at Saluki Pointe has been nothing but helpful and delightful to work with! Every question or potential issue I have had has been dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
Apartment and room are great, I feel like the price is reasonable compared to other units, but having to pay electric on top is a little much. But good place and nice amenities.
It is a great place to live, would definitely recommend it to anyone. There was some cleaning issues when I moved in and internet issues that took forever to get situated and a little frustrating which is why it does not get a 5 stars from me but other than that the apartment itself and everything else is nice, would definitely recommend.
Apartment is good so far. Building 11 is great location because its right next to the clubhouse. Rooms are clean and spacious and furniture is nice.
So far I am having a great experience! I like how there is free printing, a pool area, private bathrooms and a very spacious parking lot! It's great!
Having your own bathroom in a 4x4 will change your life. Comfy living. Great staff. Lived here 2 years now. Love it. Maintence could be quicker, but I understand how busy it can be.
Apartment was very dirty when I moved in. Maintenance sent in people to clean the rugs and my room which was very much appreciated. Other than that there are a few minor things that needed to be fixed and maintenance got them fixed within a few days.
I moved into the Reserves two weeks ago. I love the space that my apartment allows me, and I have been happy with all of the furniture that was provided to me. The extras (pool and 24-hour gym) have been great as well, not to mention the signing bonus I received for agreeing to live here. All of these positives seem to mask the disorganization I have noticed with staff. I moved in early, which had been planned two months ahead of time, yet my apartment was not clean when I moved in. Maintenance/staff/cleaning crew came to the apartment multiple times unexpectedly after I had already moved in (and cleaned the space myself). I initially had difficulties receiving packages, as the complex is supposed to provide USPS with a list of residents. All packages up until now had to be returned to the sender (I ordered multiple things off Amazon for the apartment and for school, not expecting there to be any issues). Additionally, my apartment building had an orientation (with free pizza) scheduled for a certain date and time, but nobody was informed about the rescheduling of this orientation until after we had shown up for the orientation. I have also been waiting two weeks for the coffee machine in the clubhouse to be fixed by maintenance, but at this point I'm considering investing in my own.
Room is full of space. When i moved it was cleaned perfect. The furniture was in great condition. The Staff was very helpful when i need to move in.
Just moved in and the experience has exceeded my expectations! The community is great and the the rooms are amazing. I met my roommates and we all get along well and love it here!
I like that the CA staff and maintenance are very helpful and relatively quick to answer any questions that I have. I also like all the amenities that the Reserve provides for its residents.
Staff is friendly and easy to get in contact with. Maintenance comes quickly to fix any problems. The apartments are spacious and having my own bathroom is very convenient!
Living and working at The Reserve has been a pleasant experience. It’s one of the best places to live in town. The amenities are super convenient and I always look forward to coming home and going to the gym or pool at the end of the day. I’ll definitely miss it when I leave!
Th the reserve is the best place to live in carbondale. Many amenities to take part in, and great ways for residents to get freebies &prizes.
Great amenities and location. Workout room is great, I’ve never tried the pool area or movie room but would like to this semester. Would recommend friends to live here!
The Reserves has an awesome community with great amenities. It is really nice to have your own separate living areas aside from your roommates is great.
Apartment had not been cleaned or inspected prior to my move in. On the second day I found fleas in the apartment. Took 3 weeks to treat. During that period they were going to move me into an apartment that had a sewage problem. You have to talk to managment to get things done as they rank things by a priority list and if you don't physically complain you'll be at the bottom of the list. Mantenance staff has left my front door ajar after doing mantenance which was not ok. The front office signs for your packages and won't notify you to let you know they are there. So keep your reciepts and Overall this isn't the worst place to live. The clubhouse is nice but you don't live in it so ask to see an actual apartment and not the model as it can be drastically different. Have a manager do a walk through with you when you if you do sign a lease. Take pictures of EVERYTHING or you'll regret it later ( all walls, carpets, furniture, etc.)
Overall the reserves is a nice place. I just get mad when the wifi gets down every like 3 days. Rent going up $45 also sucks especially since this will be my second year at the reserves. I just feel like for the returners rent should be reduced not hiked.
This is a very good experience to live in this community, which is very clear environment and interesting activities here. You can have the best community assistants who will help you on the living issues no matter when you have questions. I recommend SIU students live here to enjoy the instruments and best service you can have in this town.
Love the community, amentites, and the staff. Walls are paper thin so I can hear those above me sometimes which can be annoying especially on days when I work overnight shifts for work and just want to sleep. Overall, I love the reserves though!
Wonderful community to live in ! I love how interactive every one is around you and you will never feel alone as there is always something to do.
I enjoy the convience of the computer lab, but it runs out of paper at the most important times. I enjoy how matience comes fix things as soon as they can.
The community is awesome! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The apartments are very spacious compared to others in the area. Being all inclusive really helped me decide that the Reserves was the best place for me to live.
I have had some issues with communication with this community, but overall my experience with them has been pretty good so far and I have been impressed with the facilities
I like it here! it's quiet, yet there are things to do right in the community (Gym, pool etc). However, I wish the shared living areas are cleaned. My apartment living room carpet has been dirty and stained since I moved in! Apparently, it wasn't cleaned after the previous tenant moved out.
New to this but definitely looking forward to it. So for now, I'll leave a message that just fills up the 140 word minimum to get those reward points.
This apartment offers a great variety of things. The staff is nice and are always on task. The apartment is spacious and very home -like. I will continue renting here until the end of my college career.
Experience has been okay since the other community directors have left the building. I wanted to get out of my contract because I have a new address but couldn't so paying 2 rents is fun but I am honestly glad to be done with here.
All of my questions have been answered quickly, whether I called or emailed the office and I haven't even moved in yet. The roomsync was also very helpful in finding a roommate.
My stay at the Reserves was really nice. I always felt safe and the amenities were always nice to have. I would reccommend these apartments to any new students coming to SIU.
Nice location, office is pleasant, maintenance has an attitude, pest control is terrible. My apartment is extremely clean but I find 5-10 spiders per week and an occasional cockroach.
The maintenance was very quick and helpful when we had a water leak. They fixed the issue on the same day we put in the request and cleaned the carpet for us after they were done.
The area is nice and offers a lot of ways to meet new people. The rules however are worse than the dorms. You don't have to be a student to live here, but it may as well be university owned housing. The new pool rules are completely unfair. There is so much money wasted on completely unnecessary beautification of the landscaping and outside, but little effort is put into the quality of the apartments themselves. The dog park waa supposed to be completed by spring. They put poles out months ago and that's been the entire progress thus far
It was good, I enjoyed living here. Being able to have my own space and being able to have such nice things is a necessity. I think my experience was great.
Living here is really great! You have your own bathroom, and it comes with a gym. You don’t have to worry about parking, and maintenance comes as soon as a request is made.
I have only lived here for a month so far, but so far the living experience has been pretty great. The amenities are great and the pepole that i met are great too.
Sean, Sam, and Ari are the best humans.
- The furniture provided in the rooms and living rooms are pretty decent, except for the uncomfortable desk chair. I had a big closet, which was a deal breaker.
- Staff is happy to help, but should probably have more training, they aren't always as knowledgable as they should be.
- The pantry is large and there is a lot of extra storage space.
- Washer and dryer in unit is very convenient, although the dryer does not ventilate properly. Our closet is covered in dryer lint.
- There are usually leasing promotions going on at all times. You can get some "free" stuff for signing.
- They advertise as a gated community and we have been told that the gates will be closed from 10pm-6am. They never close, which makes a lot of people (and their parents) very uneasy.
- The keys to your door and building never work 100% of the time.
- Our dishwasher has stopped working multiple times.
- It is SO LOUD. Paper thin walls. I live on the second floor and literally eveything in my room rattles when the person upstairs just walks across their room.
- Do not live here if you need a moderately quiet place for studying or living in general. Most of the people here, I assume, are undergraduate students who have no respect for other people. I'm a graduate student and find myself having to put earplugs in and headphones on to sleep and study.
- Windows must not be insulated very well. You can hear everything outside.
- Tanning beds are outdated and are not cleaned between uses (ew foot fungus). I went in the office one day and the staff went back to make sure the last person was out, and then told me I could go in.
- The buildings, both outside and inside, are not well maintained or cleaned. The first week I moved in (6 weeks ago), there was garbage in the hallway, stairwell, and near the door. Just last week it was all picked up. There are cobwebs and bugs in the hallways and stairwells that are never removed.
- The staff doesn't communicate well regarding your apartment and roomates once you've moved in. I got a call saying a new roommate was moving into our empty room; no information was given as to who it was or when.
- The cable sucks.
- The wifi also sucks.
Overall, I think the price is reasonable for all the extra stuff provided (gym, pool, etc). But this place could definitely do better. I will not be renewing my lease.
The apartment designs are great, and the maintenance is handled efficiently and easily. I would recommend this to friends and other people looking for great living space for students.
I love everything that comes with living at the reserves. It’s like it has its own community and it’s close to campus but far and I love it.
I have been living here for the past two years and just renewed a lease for a third year. The community is quiet. I really enjoy the layout of my four bedroom apartment.
Reserves is a great place to live especially if you’re looking for somewhere safe and convenient to live. Also is a plus that the apartment comes furnished so you do not have to move to Carbondale with that mischief stuff.
It’s a good place to live. If something could be added, I think white boards in the study area would be helpful and fixing the computers so they all print.
Signing a lease was super easy and convenient from home. Called The Reserve for some extra information about the apartments and they were very knowledgeable and helpful.
My experience has been great so far. I'm coming back for another year! I enjoy the special days of pizza and the gym is so convenient. My apartment is quiet(usually) and it's just been an awesome experience so far
My resident experience initially was not that great, the staff was unorganized and did not get back to you in a timely manner. However, now things have changed the new manager seems to do her job well. And the different events they have for the residents are nice.
Apartments are nice but are overpriced. The amenities such as the pool and grill are very flashy but never seem to be available when I want to use them.
It's been a great experience. I think the staff is friendly. The pool is nice. I also enjoy the workout facility and movie room. The study hall is nice.
This place is a nice community. Everyone seems friendly and helpful. I like how I can have my own bedroom and bathroom. Also, I love how I can have my puppy.
I love living at the reserve. I really like all the community activities they host. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place in carbondale.
I love the reserves the people and staff are all amazing. I love how they make sure everything is clean and safe for us. I really love the feeling of staying in a gated community
Great! The reserves responds to requests in timely manners. The community helps me feel secure as well as offers a lot of activities to participate in which I appreciate
Great community. Maintenance needs to be more on top of issues with apartments. Overall. Great living environment! I enjoy that the workers do not interfere with residents and are very polite
Each apartment is very spacious and has a great community. In addition, it's pretty close to campus so the drive isn't that bad. You also get your own bathroom, which I love.
Looking forward to living there. Hoping to get involved and take advantage of all the cool amenities, esepecillay the movie theater and the pool
Awesome place to live if you are going to college. It’s quiet and I love living here. They always have something going on for the us and the club house is great.
Very Nive apartments, just need some minor fixes. but overall very good customer service. and maintenance always comes on time when something is wrong. everything is very convenient, like printing lab.
I think the buildings are nice and the current leasing manager seems to be more on top of things. I'm also happy to hear about the dog park and better wifi for next year. I have had some trouble with maintenance though. One maintenance worker was always pretty rude to us about problems that weren't our fault and didn't believe us for months that our air conditioning was actually broken.
The experience has been great after living there for two semesters now. Neighbors are all friendly and the staff has all been pretty good. Sometimes stuff isn’t cleaned or fixed right away, but that is my only complaint.
This place is great! Everything one would need to start off in for their first apartment. Great clubhouse and pool as well. Overall, I would give it 5 stars.
When I applied online, it was very easy and every time I called the front desk the person who answered was always helpful with any questions I had.
The reserves is a great place to live! My roommates and I are really happy here. I would recommend the reserves to anyone looking for a place to live in Carbondale
what a good place to live! The reserve is the best to have fun and study near SIU. You can not only have a good study environment conditions such as printing room but also a fantastic place to relax, for example a big pool and volleyball field. You can also watch movie just inside the community because there is a movie theater here too! The reserve won't let you down!
Love the clubhouse amenities that are offered to us as residents. As someone who does not like to necessarily go to the rec center to work out, this facility is perfect. Rooms are extremely nice and I am so happy that I can finally move in because of the community allowing animals now.
I've lived here for two years now and would stay another year if I were not graduating. The only real issue I have is noisy upstairs neighbors who blast their music so loud I can hear it clearly from the room below.
It's been great here. The only downside is when the speed bumps get replaced. Other than that, everything is like a dream. All issues get resolved super fast (when there are issues that is).
I love living here. Everyone is so nice and willing to help. The community is great. The walls are kind of thin though, so when people are in the hall it can get a little loud, but this doesn't happen too often.
I’ve lived here for the past 2 years and loved it. Maintence is always prompt, the amenities are great, and I like the privacy of not being in the middle of town. Sometimes there’s barking dogs and I always seem to renew and have trouble finding my gift cards.
Apartments are nice with plenty of space but walls are thin and residents can get loud. The rec center is a really nice amenity along with the computer lab but don’t try studying in the lab it is too loud.
The apartments are great and staff are helpful, but if a fee is misassigned or wrong it usually takes 3-4 trips to the front desk to get the problem fixed. Fees that were thought to be taken care of keep showing up. Other than that I’ve had no problems at all with the reserve
Speed bumps have destroyed the underside of my car because they don’t replace damaged ones WiFi is awful, no firearms allowed, hate the keys
Amazing space to live in. Needs a couple of improvements here and there like water and internet but other than that all is good. Great place for the price
My experience at the Reserve has been wonderful, so far. All of the faculty is welcoming, the facilities are wonderful. The security service does a very good job of keeping us safe. The only thing that I would change is the price because a reduced rate is always welcome.
there were a lot of problems when we first moved in but all in all it was an okay place to stay. nice amenities but I personally think it is just expensive.
Good place to live, friendly staff, and would recommend over other apartment complex’s in the area. Location is not to far from campus, and there’s a bus that comes around if you don’t want to drive.
A.c. room leaking and covered in dust when moved in. Mold growing on walls, sent roomate to health center. Stupid rules and overly expensive for what you get. Half the lease is incorrect such as "gated community" "24hr seccurity" etc.
Other than the apartment itself being alright, I have had an awful experience living here. The only redeeming thing is that some staff are very kind. We have had mice, ignored maintenance requests, disgusting move-in conditions, lawncare staff and site-cleaning staff leave trash all over our balcony and hallway.
The process to sign the lease went smoothly and I have had no other issues. So far my experience has been quite pleasant and I am excited to move in in the falll.
Thus far we experience working with Valerie and the rest of the staff at The Reserve Saluki Pointe has been awesome. They have readily answered my questions both over the phone and via email. I look forward to living at The Reserve for the next 3 years while I study for law school.
Everything is done online, which is good and bad. Very helpful with questions and explaining. Everything is pretty well laid out and all you have to do is read.
It was great. The atmosphere was wonderful, and everyone was so kind. Upon my visit, the apartment had so much room in it. The gym was also very nice.
I like it. My roommate are very nice people. The incentives are great. I like that we have free parking because going to friends places you either have to park very far or you can’t even hangout with them at all.
Great community assistants. Apartments are wonderful for the price! Pool andvolleyball court is great for hanging out with friends. Having pats is great- dog park coming soon!
Convinced me ASAP that it was for me now i cant wait to move in in the fall. Its truly the right place for me while i continue to get my education
It was great and I really like the pool and the facilities they have the room is also clean and spacious which I really like and also they have tan room that wassup
Friendly Staff and Wonderful Location. The Reserves is very safe. I enjoy it being away from downtown Carbondale because you do not hear all the noisie bars.
Security is good as well as most of the amenities. I wish there was a better focus on upkeep of the computers and printer as some of them are constantly down
I'm in love with the architecture. The facilities are a plus too. Parking has never been closer to my apartment. Would highly recommend these apartments to returning students.
I'm happy about the community that this complex brings together, and it encourages me to get out more and enjoy the town. Also, the service is great whenever help is needed.
Living here at the reserves has allowed me to become more organized ,and appreciated. They are always on time when things break n my apartment.
The reserves is a grade A place to live. I stayed there following my freshman and sophomore years and will be staying for my senior year. Look forward to next year
There is not anywhere else I would rather live while attending SIU. This apartment is very nice. Maintenance is quick to respond, and i have minimal problems with the staff. The internet is good, and the clubhouse provides good amenities.
I love my personal and private bedroom and bathroom! Also, the gym is very nice and I can just walk there instead of driving all the way to the recreation center! 😊
I like that I was able to find somewhere that was furnished and still had cheaper rent and electric (mostly from living with roommates). Sometimes I have a maintenance problem here or there, but they are good at coming and fixing it in a timely manner.
It’s absolutely awesome! It’s so calm cool and collective living here. It’s very beautiful and cozy. I love my neighbors and roommates. Just overall great!
this is a great place to live! staff is kind and very helpful. very quick maintenance. easy online rent pay as well as awesome amenities (tanning, pool, movie theater, computer lab, etc.)
Staff is okay and only somewhat helpful. The cleaning of the buildings is poor and needs improvement. The amenities are okay but could be updated. Also I never receive a newsletter about events happening and events should be announced better.
Maintenance has always been super great here at the Reserves. Noise is relatively low, workers in the office could be more helpful. Overall it’s been a good stay.
I've lived in the Reserve for two years now and have a experienced some great service and some poor service. Maintenance does a good job of fixing issues inside the apartment and the office employees have been able to assist in most of the issues I've had. Poor service comes from the quality of the internet and support - not directly Reserve people, but the companies that provide the services.
I don’t live here yet but my application process was very simple and the employees who helped me with it were all very nice and courteous! I also won a prize so that was great!
Not the best place to live in my opinion. Management changes so much without any notice to us as residents. WiFi is iffy sometimes. Management doesn’t care about their desk assistants or employees they only care about residents paying rent on time. The monthly events they talked about in the tour rarely happen and when they do they usually are at major class times. I’d just say rent a house it’s cheaper out of the main four apartments it’s high up on the list but that’s not saying too much.
I truly enjoy this apartment complex. The amenities included are always usable. Besides the thin walls everything else is good. The Gaiges community makes the payment very worth it.
The Reserve has given me a great resident experience. I have had no issues and the management staff is very easy to work with. The apartment complex I live in is quiet when I need it to be and everyone respects their neighbors. I enjoy having the gym and computer lab within walking distance, something I know that makes others in my class jealous.
When i went to the reserves for a tour of the apartments that were for lease everything was handled very professionally. The people answered all the questions.
I enjoy living here because it is very clean and nice. The rent is reasonable, if maintenance needs to be done it is always done fast, and everyone in the office is very friendly.
I have enjoyed living here. There is a gym and fun activities like casinos night. I don’t like that the rent is increasing and sometimes the computers in the study don’t pri
